What is it?

It's not a posh five-star restaurant, but it does have an incredible international wine cellar, and impeccable attention to service.

In the fashion of Italy's popular enotecas, VIVO is not too expensive and not very formal. You can eat as little or as much as you like. Bookings are accepted, or you can just drop in and get a table or a spot at the bar.

Our expansive wine bar is centred within a lively, relaxed atmosphere that is not stuffy or pretentious. Every guest is treated like a "regular", and every visit is made to be memorable.

If life is to be lived, wine and food must be enjoyed.

The ancient Greeks called Italy Enotria, "the land of the vine", and the word enoteca carries a Greek origin as well. It means "to keep" or to "take care of wine".

VIVO offers the opportunity to gain a deeper knowledge about wine, without all the rules. It's a place to experiment, to expand the palate, to try unfamiliar wine varietals, and to sample new wines.

In Italy, pairing wine and food is easy and unpretentious. Wine goes with food and is rarely served by itself. At VIVO, wines are at centre stage, and food is there to make them shine.

Small plates of food, "piattini", are offered to complement the wine and to complete the wine experience. We also offer a full dinner menu of Italian-style cuisine. Our knowledgeable staff can recommend food and wine matches that will delight.

The menu changes seasonally to ensure only the freshest of ingredients are used. Celebrating food from throughout Italy, the regional variations and different styles of Italian cuisine are an ideal accompaniment to the vast array of wines on offer.
